On June 26th, 2025, Rajah Rehabilitation Centre organized an impactful Anti-Drug Awareness Day event in Hospital yard, targeting outpatients, inpatients, and bystanders. The program commenced with a flash mob at 11:00 am, setting the tone for a day of awareness and action.
The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Sunil Kumar, Manager, who added dignity to the occasion. The lamp lighting ceremony and pledge-taking were led by Dr. Damodharan, Medical Superintendent, emphasizing the importance of the day
A street play followed, effectively conveying the message of anti-drug awareness to the audience. The highlight of the event was the release of anti-drug posters by a distinguished panel comprising Dr. Anju Krishna G, Consultant Psychiatrist; Dr. Shebin Abbas, Medical Administrator; Dr. Gracy Zacharia, Senior RMO; and Mr. Felvin Tony, Medical Administrator.
The awareness class, conducted by Dr. Pfizer, Psychiatrist, and Mr. Anil Kumar, Clinical Psychologist, provided valuable insights into the dangers of substance abuse and the importance of seeking help. The program concluded at noon, leaving a lasting impact on the attendees.
This event marked a significant step in Rajah Hospital’s efforts to promote awareness about the risks associated with substance abuse and to encourage those affected to seek support. The hospital’s commitment to community welfare and health education was evident throughout the event.
