Sheltered workshop for persons with psychiatric disability

Sheltered workshop is a non residential facility for the persons with mental disability. By attending the day care centre the patients develop a routine working habit, improve on existing skills or develop new skills. The patients learn to look after themselves and live in the family and community. The patients can use the facilities of the day care centre on a long term basis. In addition to the structured activity their medication can also be supervised at the centre.
Admission procedure
- Approval letter from chairman of the Rehabilitation Centre
- Certification by clinical psychologist
- Assessment of prevocational skill deficits and disability.
- Informed consent, rules & regulations of day care centre
- Services are offered free without any charges

- Bimonthly assessment of progress by psychiatrist and Psychiatric social worker
- Monthly House Visit by Psychiatric social worker
