We are pleased to announce the inaugration of our new psychosocial rehabilitation  project  *snehaveedu*

Annexe to our sheltered workshop *thanal*

Snehaveedu is a non residential setting, home management skill development center for differentialy abled..

Skills training for basic living& independent social functioning is an essential  component of psychosocial rehabilitation in recovery phase

The benefeciaries are  trained by a multidisciplinary team which  comprises of  psychiatrist,clinical psychologist,case manager ,& community workers.home management skills include self care, sweeping & mopping the floor, laundry,cleaning the washroom& kitchen, shopping for groceries& vegetables,preparing meals,  ,disposing garbage, managing necessary utilities,choosing  cosmetics, paying bills, organising wardrobe& personal assets, using kitchen tools,taking interest in home decor& aesthetics etc,…apart from home management, benefeciaries would also be trained in family & peer relationship building, communal living, ilness self  management ,&stress coping skills…learning of these skills would help in  enhancing self confidence, reducing expressed emotions in the family, public  stigma & promote   successful community reintegration
