INAUGURATION OF JOB CLUB @ Shreyas (Family carer’s support meeting June 2019 )
Thanal,our Sheltered workshop Organized the 131st Shreyas Family Carer’s Support meeting (Kudumbayogam) on 12/06/19.The main agenda of this Kudumbayogam was inaugural of Job club/work site trial.
The meeting started with the welcome note by psychiatric social worker Ms.Anju followed by presidential address by our Dr.N.Pfizer.who stressed the importance of work and supported employment in psychosocial rehabilitation.
Our managing Trustee Mr.A Abdul Azim inaugurated the “JOB CLUB” and Dr.N.Pfizer, highlighted the activities of Job Club
The Job club would assist the disabled with vocational assessment, prevocational training, create resumes, filling out employment application form, identifying job related interest and strength., job leads and search, The beneficiaries would also be provided training in job interview skills, effective communication and work place behaviours, skill training in handling social situation at job…further more Job club would also enlist disabled friendly employers to address work related difficulties and negotiate job accommodations through work site trial and work assignment..
Job club volunteers were recruited after explaining the functioning of the club and tasks involved.
Hospital Admininstrator Mr.Sinoj Baby issued badges to newly selected job club community Volunteers.
Dr.Gracy issued mementos to best performing Beneficiaries group of the month(Jamanthi).
Executive committee meeting of Shreyas was held after the general body meeting.
Shreyas memebers donated Rs.10.000 to mother of Midhuna, whose father passed way last month.
Refreshments were served after the meeting.
