Onam Celebration – 2019

Onam the very name is synonymous with celeberations& festivities for malayalees world wide. it is all about reliving the tradition and culture of harvest season.. touted as the mother of all festivals, onam marks the beginning of festive season across the country.onam appeals to all as it is the only indian festival which does not belong to any particular community& is celebrated by all keralites as their own.

45 benefeciaries of thanal , sheltered workshop&” shreyas”-family carers support group , social workers,nurses, trainees, doctors & hospital management staff celebrated onam on 7th september.
Women were dressed in kasavu sari& set- mundu
men were dressed in mundu & shirt.
A beautiful pookalam , (floral carpet) in elegant design was prepared by shreyas support group members .
The benefeciaries& carers indulged in onapattu& onam games..
The celeberations culminated with traditional delicious onasadhya..( chor, sambar,thoran, olan, avial,pachadi, kichadi, erisseri, achar, sarkara uppery,kalan , kootu curry, rasam payasam).
The cultural festivities brings forth a remarkable sense of unity in every single person! Let us keep celeberating humanity.!!
