Two days training program ” OPPAM” organized by Recovery Facilitation Project, IMHANS ,kozhikode aimed at strengthening mental health care and recovery on December 17 th and 18th 2025
A two-day training program was conducted from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM on both days, with active participation from one social worker, three supervisors, and four psychology trainees from Rajah Rehabilitation Centre, along with beneficiaries from other organizations including palliative care workers, psychologists, and related professionals. The first day included sessions on introduction to rehabilitation by Ms. Bhadra (MPhil student), introduction to mental health by Dr. Shibu, Psychiatrist, IMHANS, and introduction to social skills by Ms. Reshma, Psychiatric Social Worker, IMHANS. The second day focused on an interactive workshop on social skills facilitated by Ms. Reshma, emphasizing practical application in rehabilitation and mental health settings. The program was informative and participatory, enhancing participants’ understanding of rehabilitation, mental health concepts, and social skills essential for effective psychosocial intervention.
