The 137th Shreyas Kudumbayogam – Family Care Givers Monthly Meet was held on 26 November 2025 from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm at the Thanal Day Care Centre, Muthuvattoor, Chavakkad. The programme began with a prayer followed by a warm welcome speech delivered by Mrs. Preetha, a Shreyas member. Dr. N. Pfizer then gave the introductory remarks highlighting the relevance of social skills in caregiving. The main session focused on house management, conversational skills, healthcare practices, and behavioral skills in workplace settings, facilitated by Neethu C. D, Princy V. P, Unnimya M, Kavya P, Arathy, and Shabna (trainees). During the felicitation, Dr. Anju Krishna spoke about the importance of proper follow-up in treatment and rehabilitation, while Social Worker Mrs. Aparna also offered her felicitations. Social Worker Mrs. Princy addressed the group on the importance of voting rights for persons with disabilities, emphasizing that participating in elections is their rightful entitlement. Caregivers shared their experiences, which helped promote mutual support and understanding, followed by group games that encouraged interaction and relaxation. The meeting concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Sulaikha, also a Shreyas member, and the entire programme was smoothly coordinated by social workers Princy and Aparna.
